Annemarie Henkel | Vice President, Philanthropic Services
Annemarie is a trusted advisor to individuals, families and private foundations, providing counsel on allocating grant money to maximize their unique philanthropic goals. Since joining Ignite in 2014, she has worked with clients to allocate millions of dollars in grants.
Before joining Ignite, Annemarie worked in the retirement services industry for 15 years for such institutions as Standard Retirement Services, Fifth Third Bancorp, and Fifth Third Bank of Kentucky. Those experiences provided the foundation for Annemarie’s comprehensive analytical skills, financial acumen, and client focus.
Annemarie graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. In 2015, she completed the Certificate in Grantmaking Series at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, Grand Valley State University.
In addition to her work with Ignite Philanthropy, Annemarie remains involved with Impact 100, a women’s collective giving circle she joined in 2006. She has served on Impact 100’s Board in several roles including President, Fundraising Chair, Community Investment Review Chair, and Nominating Chair. She was a member of the 2016-2017 WE Lead Class – a 10-month professional development program providing unique experiences, networking opportunities and career coaching to talented area women.
Annemarie resides in Anderson Township with her husband and two teenage sons.
