Annemarie Henkel | Vice President, Philanthropic Services
Annemarie is a leader in the Philanthropic Services division, where she has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to individuals, families and private foundations. Since joining Ignite in 2014, she has helped clients allocate over $4 million annually in community grants. Her expertise in philanthropy began at Impact 100, where she has been a member for over 10 years and has served in various roles as a board member and President of the Board. Before joining Ignite, Annemarie worked in the retirement services industry for 15 years for such institutions as Standard Retirement Services and Fifth Third Bancorp. In her role as Client/Relationship Manager, she was responsible for 75 clients with over $500 million in assets and 40 clients with over $75 million in assets, respectively.
Annemarie graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. In 2015, she completed the Certificate in Grantmaking Series at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, Grand Valley State University. She was a member of the 2016–2017 WE Lead Class—a 10-month professional development program providing unique experiences, networking opportunities and career coaching to talented area women.
Annemarie resides in Anderson Township with her husband and two teenage sons.
