Khalia Shaw | Manager
As a Manager within the Nonprofit Services Division, Khalia manages complex project timelines associated with multi-million dollar capital campaigns for non-profit organizations of varying sizes and across a diverse range of sectors. She leverages an array of project tools to drive success for organizations, each with their own mission to achieve greater impact in the community. Khalia is a collaborative partner who aligns perfectly with the culture at Ignite. With her rich mix of empathy, skill application, and critical thought that goes into her work, she delivers superior-quality assets used by some of our community’s top philanthropists and leaders who are helping to raise the capital to fund solution-based initiatives in Cincinnati.
Khalia simply enjoys doing good work that fuels society while fueling the soul. Prior to her position at Ignite, Khalia excelled in her role as Prospect Development Manager for the University of Cincinnati Foundation. There she used technology, information, and philanthropic strategy to build donor pipelines and optimize prospect portfolios each worth millions in potential philanthropic support for University of Cincinnati students, faculty, and its programming.
In 2021, Khalia was appointed Board of Trustee, lending her expertise in prospect development and marketing to the American Legacy Theatre, a local organization bringing accessible, professional theatre experiences to the region in a unique, yet compelling manner. Khalia holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Purdue University, Global and recently earned her Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certification from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. In her spare time, you can catch Khalia reading a great James Baldwin novel, catching up on her favorite podcast while cooking a delicious meal, or enjoying time spent with her daughter.
