Rachel Ahrnsen | Manager, Non-Profit Services

Rachel comes to Ignite with eight years of non-profit experience in the arts and environmental spheres. Most recently, she spent three and a half years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Arts Alliance. The UAB Arts Alliance was a department of four arts organizations that served the campus and Birmingham community. During her time at UAB, Rachel led campus and community engagement efforts, developed programs, and was the lead grant writer for the Arts Alliance.

Rachel earned a Non-Profit Management Graduate Certificate from UAB and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Alabama. In her free time she enjoys traveling (she’s visited 30 countries), hiking, and reading. Rachel lives in Mt. Airy with her husband.
