
Rachel Ahrnsen
Senior Manager, Non-Profit Services
Prior to her current role as Senior Manager, Rachel spent two years as a Manager in the Non-profit Services division. In these roles, Rachel manages each project with proactive communication and a detail-oriented approach, working closely with clients to plan and execute successful campaigns.
Rachel came to Ignite with eight years of previous non-profit experience in the arts and environmental spheres. Most recently, she spent three and a half years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s (UAB) Arts Alliance. The UAB Arts Alliance is a department of four arts organizations that serve the campus and Birmingham community. During her time at UAB, Rachel led campus and community engagement efforts, developed programs, and served as the lead grant writer for the Arts Alliance.
Rachel is a graduate of the Leadership Council for Nonprofits BOLD program and holds a Non-Profit Management Graduate Certificate from UAB and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Alabama. In her free time, she enjoys traveling (she’s visited 30 countries), gardening, and hiking. Rachel lives in Westwood with her husband.
