Sydney Hammond

Sydney Hammond joins Ignite’s growing Charlotte team with over 13 years of nonprofit experience. Most recently, she served for six years on the Advancement team at Safe Alliance in Charlotte, NC. Sydney’s career has been dedicated to connecting donors who are passionate about bettering their communities with the nonprofits whose missions are making an impact. She has a breadth of experience in annual fundraising, events, grants, stewardship, and donor relations.

Sydney started her career in nonprofit after graduating from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She also serves on the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Charlotte Chapter. Originally from Greenville, SC, she has lived in Charlotte since 2016 and lives with her husband and two cats (Agatha and Poirot). In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, visiting with friends and family, and eating great food.
